2. Recorded as the biggest golf tournament ever held in Awana Kijal with 148 golfers registered per session

4. More than RM30K was raised and it will be used to provide the needy for:
- school children from underprivileged families,
- organizing educational program in schools,

- organizing functions/activities to promote engineering profession.

IEM Shout Out – Commercial Aspects of Malaysia’s GSA

IEM will organize a talk on the 10th April, 2010. It’ll be at 9:30 am (makan-makan at 9:00). You still gotta climb those steps at Wisma IEM.
This presentation provides an insight into the commercial aspects of oil & gas production. It begins with an introduction to the history of the oil & gas industry in Malaysia, and then covers the evolution and basic terms of a typical Malaysian Production Sharing Contract agreement. The presentation ends with a quick look at how an oil & gas prospect is then economically evaluated.
En. Mohd Azlan Salim joined Talisman Malaysia Limited since 2006 as a Commercial Analyst, but now serves as a Business Analyst for the Business Planning Department. Previously, he had spent five years with ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc. with the opportunity to work on both engineering and commercial assignments. Azlan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of College London.

IEM : SSCDF Outreach Programme on “Think Global, Act Local & Successful Service Exporting”
APPLICATION
This programme is sponsored by the Government under the Services Sector Capacity Development Fund (SSCDF) and is therefore FREE and limited to thirty (30) participants.
OBJECTIVE
The objective is to prepare young Malaysian engineers to be registered as
i) ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers, i.e. ACPE’s
ii) Registered Foreign Professional Engineers, i.e RFPE’s
in conformity to the ASEAN MRA on Engineering Services. The outcome expected:- Malaysian Engineers to take advantage of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) that will be realized by 2015 – thus ASEAN will be the “domestic market” for Malaysian Engineering & Construction Services.
